Dishwashers are not as common as washing machines, but more and more people are buying this wonderful helper in their kitchens every day. Most dishwasher owners find it hard to imagine having to manually wash a mountain of dirty dishes. But any appliance can break down. And if the Bosch dishwasher won’t run, it’s not because it’s a bad product. Failure can be a unit of absolutely any company.
Suddenly it turns out that the dishwasher doesn’t get water. Before you get upset, make sure that:
- There is water in the water supply;
- The dishwasher door is closed tightly;
- The water valve is open;
- The water supply hose is not jammed or kinked.
Your dishwasher not getting water? The most common breakdowns:
The problem is in the door locking device. The user, closing the door, hears a characteristic click – this means that the door is securely locked. The absence of the usual sound should alert, perhaps the locking device is out of order. The dishwasher will not start until the program module receives a signal that the door is locked. If the door locking device is not working, no such signal is received and no water will be drawn. The door locking device must be replaced.
The inlet valve is not usable. There is a water inlet valve on absolutely all dishwashers. It opens and lets the water in when it receives the signal to start the cycle. This valve burns out due to wear and tear. Power surges can also put it out of operation. You need to replace the part. If its connections are soldered, only a specialist can deal with them.
Water level sensor. This device measures the water pressure and sends a signal to the control module, which regulates how much water is needed for which cycle. If the sensor is faulty, it does not transmit information, so the water is not coming. It must be replaced.
Control module. This is the main control module of the machine; it gives commands to other units. If it is failed, it does not give the command to the inlet valve “to fill the water”, so it does not fill, but, however, with its failure, the dishwasher will not work at all. The module needs to be repaired or replaced.
Faults in the “Aqua-stop” system. This can be the reason why the Bosch dishwasher does not draw water. Such a system is in modern models of other major brands. If water is not coming, perhaps it is triggered by the Aqua- stop (in the case of a leak). Or the system itself is broken, it must be repaired or replaced.
